police say, moments after, the teenaged gunman took off on foot, but officers quickly captured the suspect. >> he was apprehended up on top of the hill, it appears still on school grounds. he was arrested at that point. >> reporter: the attack sending this community into a panic. frantic parents gathering at a nearby gas station as authorities secured the school. investigators now working to determine a motive. and david, the 14-year-old suspect has been charged as a juvenile, with two counts of attempted murder. authorities say the victims are very lucky. none of the injuries are life threatening. david? >> alex perez with us tonight. alex, thank you. next, to virginia this evening, and the rookie police officer killed on her first day on the job. ashley guindon sworn in just the day before. she and two other officers responding to a domestic incident, meeting gun fire. all three were hit. the shooter, army staff sergeant ronald hamilton. all three officers rushed to the hospital, where fellow officers showed their support.

we turn next here this evening to breaking developments in the ere run andrewerin andrews case, taking the stand today. suing a hotel and her stalker for $75 million after she was secretly filmed in her room. abc's eva pilgrim with her emotional testimony today. >> i saw it for two seconds and i was like, oh, my god. and i shut it down. >> reporter: erin andrews breaking down in court today, as she relived the moment she discovered a naked video of herself online. >> dad, i'm naked all over the internet. i don't know what it is. >> reporter: the popular sportscaster and cohost of "dancing with the stars" is suing the owner and manager of this nashville marriott, where she was secretly filmed by a stalker in 2008. the video has been viewed nearly 17 million times. andrews' mother, paula, described consoling her daughter. >> there was no calming her down. it's -- it's a nightmare that doesn't stop.

suing the man who filmed her, michael david barrett, a former insurance executive. she claims the hotel made it easy for him to track her down and film her on his cell phone through a peephole he modified. >> i picked up the house phone and i called the operator and asked, could i have erin andrews' room. they connected me. >> reporter: the hotel calls barrett a criminal who tricked them. barrett pled guilty to stalking in 2010 and was sentenced to 30 months in prison. >> they could have stopped this and i'm so angry. >> reporter: david, erin andrews wasn't the only woman michael barrel let secretly recorded in a hotel room. he posted at least ten more videos online. david? >> eva, thank you. we turn next tonight to the controversy leading up to the oscars, and taking center stage the moment host chris rock walked out. he did not waste any time. chris rock tackling the controversy right out of the gate. >> well, i'm here at the academy
